Who operates Ambassador
Ambassador is a Christian learning and evangelism-practice app operated by Brandon Matthews. Contact brandonmatthews1982@gmail.com with privacy questions. This policy covers the Ambassador app and the learning, practice, account and community features on ambassador4christ.com.
Account and learning information
We use your email address, account identifier and chosen name to provide your account. Learning progress, reading position, notes, reflections, settings, practice conversation history, goals and achievements are stored on your device and synchronized with your signed-in Firebase account. What you write may reveal religious beliefs or other personal information. Do not include other people's private information or information you do not wish to share with these services.
Website accounts and community
Website sign-in uses email and password or an available identity provider such as Google. The website stores your chosen display name, private learning bio, preferences, reading state, recall reflections and practice history. Reading position and lesson notes use the same account storage as the app; some website-specific reviews and practice history appear only on the website.
Community posts and replies, your display name, an account identifier and the posting date are visible to signed-in members. Your email address, learning notes and practice conversations are not included in community posts. Members may report content; the operator can review reports and remove contributions. Blocking hides a member’s contributions from your view but does not prevent that member from viewing your posts. Deleted contributions are removed from the community, though other people may have previously copied them. Deleting your account also removes your community contributions and submitted community reports.
Google reCAPTCHA Enterprise and Firebase App Check help protect member features against automated abuse. They process browser and device signals for security. Necessary account and security storage supports sign-in; this is not advertising tracking.
Private member messages
Private messages are stored by Firebase and shown only to the two participants through the member service. They are not sent to OpenAI. If a participant reports a message, the selected message becomes available to the moderator for review. You can turn private messaging off in Profile Settings or block another member. These controls prevent new messages; existing conversation history remains available.
Deleting your account removes messages you sent and your own inbox. Other participants may retain their own messages, prior copies, and reports they submitted. Your name in their inbox is replaced with a deleted-member label. Private messages are protected by account access controls; we do not claim end-to-end encryption.
AI practice
When you send a practice message, relevant conversation context and scenario instructions are sent through our authenticated server to OpenAI to generate a response. Responses are generated using GPT-5 mini. We request that API responses not be stored through OpenAI's response-storage feature; this does not eliminate OpenAI's separate security and abuse-monitoring retention. OpenAI processes API data under its applicable API data policies. AI responses can be inaccurate and are practice material, not professional advice.
Response reports
If you report a response, the selected response, reason, session/message identifiers and submission time are stored with your account for the Ambassador team to review. The reporting feature does not submit your entire conversation. Reports are used to investigate concerns and improve safety and quality.
Diagnostics and reminders
Only if you enable optional diagnostics, Firebase Crashlytics and limited analytics may collect crash details, app version, device/platform details and major app-flow events. We do not intentionally place lesson answers, notes or AI conversations in analytics events. Optional daily reminders are scheduled on your device after notification permission is granted. Turn them off in Settings or your device's notification settings.
Service providers and purpose
Google Firebase provides authentication, cloud storage, app verification, hosting and diagnostics. OpenAI generates practice responses. These providers process data to operate and protect these features. We do not sell personal information or use this app for third-party advertising. Service providers may process information outside your country.
Retention and deletion
Account-linked information remains available while your account is active. You can delete your account in Profile using Delete Account. The app requests deletion of your Firebase account and associated cloud learning data, reports and usage records, then clears its account-linked local data after the server confirms success. Without the app, request deletion at https://ambassador4christ.com/delete-account.html using your account email. We may verify account ownership before processing the request. Service-provider security logs, backups or records legally required to be retained may follow separate retention periods. Uninstalling alone does not delete your cloud account.
Your choices
You may update your profile and preferences, disable reminders, stop using AI practice, or request account deletion. Contact us to ask about access, correction or other privacy rights applicable where you live. The current invited testing program is intended for adults aged 18 and over.
Changes
We may update this policy as the app changes. The current policy is available in the app and at https://ambassador4christ.com/privacy.html. Material changes will be communicated through the app or account contact information where appropriate.
